Bishop, Dr. Ernest A. Edwards was born December 19, 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri. He is the founder and Senior Pastor of United In Love Ministries, Inc. (UILM) Huntsville since October 2, 2010. He has served faithfully in ministry over 30 years and counts it an honor and privilege to be a servant. His strong core value is that one can raise to the top of any profession, but without character, you will soon fail. He understands the Spirit of God through him enlightens, empowers, and encourages the lives of men and women to embrace the will of God and to develop a lasting relationship with Jesus Christ.

 

Bishop Edwards first came to know Christ as his personal Lord and Savior in June 1982. Since then, he has held numerous positions in the church to include: Usher, president/vice president of the Men’s Fellowship, Outreach Coordinator, Armor Bearer, Jurisdictional Treasurer, Deacon, Minister, Church Administrator at Gospel Temple C.O.G.I.C., Savannah, GA., and President of Public Relations for the Huntsville District, C.O.G.I.C.

 

Bishop Edwards, a called servant of the Lord, entered the body of clergy in 1996. He went on to receive his Certificate of Ordination as an Elder from The Holy Deliverance Church of God (HDCOG) Foundation of The Truth, Inc. by Apostle Bennie L. Kelly August 15, 1999 and transferred into First Jurisdiction in the state of Alabama, Church of God in Christ, Inc. in August of 2002 by Jurisdictional Bishop O.L. Meadows. He served as Elder and Assistant Pastor of True Light Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Pastor, Dr. Terrell Harris Jr.

 

Bishop Edwards was officially ordained as Pastor of UILM, Alabama on October 1, 2010 by Apostle, Dr. Nelson K. Williams, Presiding Prelate of Unity Christian Fellowship Ministries International. Afterward, Bishop Edwards was appointed as the Executive Administrator for Unity Christian Fellowship International (UCFI) Ministries, Corporation, Woodbridge, VA. for the Presiding Prelate, Apostle, Dr. Nelson K. Williams, June 23, 2013.

 

Bishop Edwards’ spiritual promotion continued as he was consecrated and installed into the Office of Bishop in the Holy Ecumenical Church on June 27, 2015 in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. As part of his responsibility, he was appointed as the Southeast Regional Bishop for UCFI Ministries Corporation.

 

Bishop Edwards served valiantly for over 24 years in the U.S. Army and retired in 2002 honorable. He is currently employed by the Department of Defense. Dedicated to community service, Bishop Edwards served as a member of the Huntsville City Council Housing Board of Adjustments and Appeals for eight years.

The Lord has blessed Bishop Edwards to fall in love with and marry the former Noretta Hope on May 16, 1981. They are the proud and blessed parents of a beautiful and anointed daughter, Marsena, a real gift from the Lord. Additionally, the Lord has birthed 25 plus spiritual children into his loving family.
